An
efficient clutch replacement generally involves a new cover assembly (including
the pressure plate), clutch disc and release bearing (sometimes called
the throw-out bearing). These parts should ALL be replaced, even if they
don’t appear worn.So I think it is necessary to replace with a new one or get the old one repaired. That might save lots of troubles int he future.
